What is HNLP Coaching?
The art and science of conversational change and healing.
HNLP (Humanistic Neuro-Linguistic Psychology) creatively integrates quantum physics, modern neuro science, conversational hypnosis, accelerated learning, spirituality, and common sense with classic NLP. It is the study of how Mind creates reality through language and behaviour.
HNLP enables us to identify how the language of others (verbal & non-verbal) as well as their behaviour has influenced us and formed our models of the world. It helps us to resolve our own limiting beliefs, unwanted habits, negative reactions and destructive behaviours. HNLP enables us to easily and naturally enhance performance in our personal lives (in terms of development and healing) as well as professionally and in our relationships too.
HNLP shows us how to heighten awareness, use multi-level communication and have behavioural flexibility in order to achieve fulfilling results.
Both NLP & HNLP methodologies offer a positive, proactive goal-oriented approach to the change process, making them appropriate for coaching. Both approaches certainly offer the coaching profession a tremendous scope to assist clients in more rapidly achieving their desired outcomes and sustaining those results. HNLP, however, provides a more Humanistic, Holistic, Heartfelt and “organic” approach than classic NLP which is more technique driven. It incorporates the HNLP Coaching Model which is a highly effective methodology for helping people find their own best answers through the facilitation of unconscious attention shifting processes that allow inner resources to naturally arise into conscious awareness.
This model helps you become aware of the unconscious triggers that are the cause of all behaviours. It enables you to transform the behaviours that these triggers were responsible for, installs new resourceful responses in their place and facilitates new value driven motivation to achieve your desired results.
Neuro-science has long known that our unconscious functioning precedes conscious awareness by a 1/2 second. This means that most if not all coaching issues like motivation and procrastination, indecision, conflicting priorities, burnout and overwhelm and performance anxiety are a result of automatic (unconscious) reactions and patterns which occur before conscious awareness. Amazingly, though, most coaching programs available today rely heavily on conscious processing through questioning, analysis, and tasking. It's like trying to steer a train by asking someone in the last car to change the direction of the entire train. It simply won't work.
The HNLP Coaching Model facilitates change in a natural, conversational way that makes this approach adaptable to any context.
2 Coaching definitions based on the HNLP approach:
“Coaching is the art and science of bringing out the best in people through processes that honour each individual. Clients are seen as whole and resourceful while guided to overcome the obstacles which cause them to feel less than optimal, clearing the way for them to achieve their inner-most desires.”
-Jevon Dängeli-
“Coaching is the art of conversationally creating a context for change to occur naturally … More specifically: Coaching is a professional, confidential relationship between two people based upon openness, honesty and integrity, with the intention of assisting the client in living a congruent and fulfilling life based upon their values, goals and outcomes.”
-John Overdurf and Julie Silverthorn-
How much is Coaching session at Neuro-Linguistics.Net?
When achievable, the first session will be face-to-face and successive sessions can be facilitated from the comfort of your own home or office via telephone (or Skype) if you prefer.
Each session lasts about one hour, with the initial (double) session taking about two hours. Rather than long term coaching contracts, we prefer to focus on rapidly enabling you to achieve your outcomes, allowing you to measure your own success so you can decide on how long to remain in the coaching relationship.
